Desmond Hedderson, McNally Project Fellow and an Advanced Care Paramedic from Newfoundland was recently awarded the Denis & Pat Protti Scholarship and the Donald Wagg Graduate Scholarship at the University of Victoria.

Desmond’s passion lies in leveraging digital health technologies to enhance patient safety and care continuity in the paramedicine workflow.

“I am extremely grateful to receive these awards. Thanks to the generous donations and unwavering support from the health information science school at UVic, I can now fully focus on my studies and strive for excellence. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. Thank you!” Desmond says.
